Tibetan Leader Admitted In Hospital Accusing Stomachache
Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso is the 14th Dalai Lama, head of the Tibetan government. He is believed to be the reincarnation of his predecessors. Tenzin Gyatso was proclaimed the rebirth of the 13th Dalai Lama two years after he was born. Since 1959, the Dalai Lama has ruled over the Central Tibetan Administration (based in Dharamshala) and considered him to be a government in exile. Dharamshala is a small town in northern India at the foot of the Himalaya.

On Wednesday, the Tibetan spiritual leader accused exhaustion and canceled two international trips. The Dalai Lama, 73, has had some moments of discomfort in the past couple of days and he had to stay in bed and undergo some medical tests.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner was admitted yesterday in a hospital in Bombay for tests after he had complained of abdominal discomfort. A spokesman of the hospital stated that "An investigation will commence tomorrow morning and there is no cause for concern."

The Tibetan leader had just returned from his 11th visit to France since the Chinese want to rule in the Tibetan capital, Lhasa. He travels many times in a year to show the struggle of the Tibetans against Chinese trying to conquest them.

"There is nothing major to feel concerned about, he has been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai because he was feeling some discomfort,” a spokesman for the Dalai Lama said yesterday.
