Twenty-six cheerleaders aged between 14 and 17 got stuck in an elevator at the University of Texas, as they wanted to see how many would get inside. The 26 girls group was attending a cheerleading camp and they decided to see how many of them get into an elevator at Jester Residence Hall in the campus of the University of Texas.

The cheerleaders got stuck and they had to be rescued. One of the girls was taken to a hospital because she fainted. She was treated and released and two other received help on the spot after they were rescued on Tuesday from the nasty elevator.

The girls took deep breaths and closed the doors. It seems that the elevator went down to the second floor, with all the girls, but its doors wouldn’t open because of so many people inside. Some of them grabbed their phones and called police and firefighters.

It took nearly 25 minutes that a repairman opened the doors. The girls were frightened and alarmed but finally they were rescued..University of Texas police spokesman Rhonda Weldon said that: "It's dangerous, actually. They're lucky that that's all that happened."

Ironically there were signs everywhere to tell that the elevator can’t sustain more than 15 people or 3,000 pounds.
