WYSP-FM’s Kidd Chris, who was the morning show’s host, along with a radio station’s program director, John Cook, were fired due to a racy song which aired for the first time on March 21, during Chris’ show. CBS Corp. found it extremely inappropriate for the host, whose real name is Chris Foley, to allow such a song to be performed. According to the Philadelphia Daily News, the one who calls herself Lady Gash brought offences to the African-American population through her song.

Karen Mateo, CBS Radio’s spokeswoman said in a statement that "We found the song to be highly offensive and completely inappropriate for broadcast on our airwaves. When senior management of the station learned that it had been played, they took immediate steps to prevent it from ever appearing on the station again." Moreover, "we instituted additional educational training for the station, and have taken appropriate disciplinary action, including termination of the individuals involved."

The song was aired several times that month. Later on, the song landed on YouTube, but it was recently deleted and became unavailable due to "a copyright claim by CBS Broadcasting Inc." Foley’s contract stipulated that he was supposed to work for three more years with the radio station. However, no details concerning this issue have been revealed.

Kidd had previously worked in Sacramento, California where he first hosted KSFM’s morning show and then an evening show. He started to work for WYSP-FM, in Philadelphia on August 29, 2005, hosting The Kidd Chris Show. Foley, previously made some remarks concerning this show, saying that it was “gay” and that "it'll be gone in six months."
