We’ll Be “Lost” For Another 3 Years
This is good news; I like the show so I am in no way complaining. But how many mysteries can you keep adding, layering, inventing?

The fascinating television show has been around for nearly three years now and it has still not lost its momentum. Diehards (and not only) will be relieved to know that ABC has announced three more years of “Lost.”

ABC has announced that the island mystery will have three more seasons, of 16 episodes each, which will air consecutively.

This is apparently a response to a double pressure: the show’s producers, which needed to know how much time the show still had in order to sort out the plot throughout the remaining episodes, and fans, anxious that the show was coming to an end.

As it is, the producers (Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof) now have three more seasons at their disposal to decide on the evolution of their lost heroes’ lives on the tropical island, while fans will be able to prolong the excitement and jitterbugs of following their favorite survivors’ adventures.

Amidst numerous nominations for Emmys, Golden Globes and various other significant awards, “Lost” earned an Emmy for Best Drama Series in 2005 and a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series in 2006.

The denouement, partly wished for, partly dreaded (as it signifies the end of “Lost”) will come during the 2009-10 season.
