Morgan Freeman, 71, has been seriously injured in a car crash and he was admitted in a Memphis Tennessee hospital on Monday. He was listed in serious condition at Regional Medical Center. Morgan Freeman was taken to the hospital by airplane.
The accident happened on Sunday night at around 11:30 p.m., in Tallahatchie County, near Mississippi. Morgan Freeman lives in Charleston, 30 miles of Mississippi, but he also has a home in New York City.
The great actor has four children and won the Academy Award in 2004 and a Golden Globe Award for best actor for the “Driving Miss Daisy” in 1990. Still, Morgan Freeman made his acting debut when he was only 8 and played the lead role in a school play.
The Oscar-winning actor graduated from Greenwood High, but refused a partial drama scholarship from Jackson State University as he wanted to work as a mechanic in the United States Air Force. The actor first became famous in the media from America through his roles on the soap opera “Another World.”
It seems that last night’s car accident caused Morgan Freeman’s vehicle to roll over several times. He was accompanied by Demaris Meyer and they were both got out of the car by using the Jaws of Life. The two were taken to Regional Medical Center, which was located 100 miles from the scene.
It is still unclear whether the actor had drunken alcohol before getting into the car. Morgan Freeman suffered a broken shoulder and a broken arm, but he is conscious enough to talk the doctors and the nurses.
