Even though the relationship between Renee Zellweger and
George Clooney is not a romantic one, as rumored, the 38-year-old actress admitted
that she was eager to work with the Oscar-winning actor and director of “Leatherheads,” saying that when she was asked
to cast in it she accepted immediately. “It was a no-brainer. I heard George
was making a movie and I said, ’When?’”
“Leatherheads” features Zellweger as a sexy journalist. The
scene is set in the 1920s world of football. Zellweger and Clooney were said to
have a romantic relationship. However, the two didn’t delay denying the rumors
and replied that they were just very good friends.
According to People Magazine, Renee said: “If [Clooney] had
asked me to make peanut-butter sandwiches for the catering, I would have said, ’Crunchy
or smooth?’. It’s never less than great with him. And poor me, I had to watch
guys throw a football all day…Talk about living the dream.”
Moreover, the actress said that during the shot she had lots
of fun, saying that she was always a football fan: “I’m a girl from Texas, Cowboys! But I’m not
die-hard about anything except being at work on time. I can check scores by
asking the guys on set; I’m never bored, that’s my motto. If you’ve got to give
up the real deal to watch these guys, that’s not bad."
Renee is now single. Despite her unstuck marriage to country
music star Kenny Chesney she sees life in pink. According to People the actress
said: “I’m fortunate, I think I was born happy. If I have a bad moment it doesn’t
take me long to switch the gear back I say ‘That sucked,’ and move on.”
