Mark of a great artist is his ability to work in different genres. Record producer Non Native known for Lil Tjay & 6lack’s “Callin My Phone” is one such artist. Non Native has worked with several musicians from varied genres.
Non Native started with playing drums. This 21 year old is an American music producer who is getting popular by the day. He is also popular as Bordeaux & Non Native. This is a collaboration with Bordeaux.
“Callin My Phone” peaked the charts. It came number 3 on the Billboard hot 100. This is not the first time that his singles charted on billboard. He had also peaked charts for Lil Tjay’s “Headshot” ft. Polo G & Fivio Foreign.
Even “Zoo York” that ft Pop Smoke & Fivio Foreign also did quite well at the charts. That said, he got maximum success in H.E.R. ‘s debut. It was “Back of My Mind” that made him really popular. Reinstating the belief that experimenting with various genres can also make a producer popular as long as musical language is clear.
Non Native has had different musical influences. Genres like Electronic music, R&B, Hip Hop/Rap and dancehalls have been his favorites. He likes to work across genres.
