Gul Panag Breaks Stereotype by Repeating her Clothes

Talk about breaking stereotypes and Actor Gul Panag will be leading the way for the actors and celebrities. The actor recently posted a picture on Instagram flaunting a dress that is 18 years old and shunned the people who say clothes can’t be repeated. She made it extremely clear that the whole idea of not repeating a dress doesn’t quite matter to her.

Gul wrote a caption below the pictures stating- “Down with those who say ‘you can’t repeat a dress’. This dress is 18 years old. And I’ve been repeating it for a while,” Panag said that her husband got this particular dress for her in 2001 when he was on a work trip to Seattle. Her husband saw this dress in a store and though it was way more than he could then afford. But he still bought it for her.

Some time ago, she had posed in a 20 years old swimsuit for pictures thus revealing that it is not the first time she has broken the stereotype and she believes in repeating her clothes. She had shared an old picture clicked in 1999 wearing the same swimsuit that she wore in a recent holiday to Maldives. She wrote- “Then and now. Back in the Maldives after twenty years! My Marks & Spencer swimsuit still going strong.”

Her celebrity friends flooded her with compliments. VJ Maria Goretti wrote that she looks “Fantabulous just bloody pretty and awesome,” while actor Ayushmann Khurrana commented a heart emoji on the picture.

In the times when we are talking about sustainable fashion and asking people to buy less and repeat clothes to save the environment from pollution caused by cloth making industries, celebrity taking such moves should be celebrated.
