One On One With eCommerce Millionaire Jem Bourouh

“I believe the early stages of people’s lives echo massively throughout the rest of their lives, and I want to be there to provide support and be a good mentor and role model- so that they can make a positive impact on their own lives and others. Currently, I am building a community, mastermind, and online educational program.“

Jem Bourouh is a 23-year-old full-time entrepreneur who was born and raised in Germany. He spent the past 4 years launching and selling 7-8 figure eCommerce brands. Jem Bourouh sold more than $20,000,000 with his eCommerce businesses. He started his marketing agency called Acdubator back in 2018, which also invests in smaller DTC brands and acts as a VC. His education-focused entity is called eCom Incubator.

He is a full-stack marketer who understands things such as marketing fundamentals, consumer behavior, branding and positioning, business strategy, media buying, copywriting, creating landing pages, etc. He and his team manage the entire Google Ads platform to grow and scale eCommerce businesses to 9 figure revenue.

Jem is currently spending around $12,000,000 a month right now in his agency for his clients and therefore they are one of the biggest spenders in the world to date. His agency is also busy scaling companies to 1,000,000€ a day with their product launches.

How did he get to this level of success?

Back in December 2017 whilst still studying business and economics in university Jem like most students wanted to make money alongside his studies. It was on YouTube one night whilst he was researching his options for profitable side hustles and how to make money online, that he stumbled across the world of dropshipping. He fell in love with marketing, consumer psychology, behaviorism, and media buying and he hasn’t looked back ever since.

We asked Jem what was the happiest day of his life and he retold the purest and simplest time of his entrepreneurship journey that he will never forget. We are sure that you can relate as well as many eCommerce entrepreneurs who use Shopify. The sound of that very first ka-ching notifying you of your first sale.

It’s a moment that you will never forget. Once Jem had this first sale come through it was then that he knew for sure that everything was possible and he could replicate that one sale over and over again. “The first client that I signed with my agency was also something very special. I still run his ads up to this day.”

Another interesting fact Jem shared with us was about friendship, which is rare to hear about from young entrepreneurs. Jem has a very close friend who is his inspiration. She understands him perfectly and can even read him like a book. Whenever he’s struggling with anything in life, whether it be mental health, business, work, or just feeling pressured, she’s always there for him and gives him the best possible advice that a friend ever could. She inspires him to be a better person every day and understand himself better and how to reflect on certain situations.

We thought this was a really cool example of how valuable an anchor-type friendship can be for your entrepreneurship journey. Many will tell you that it’s lonely and no one will understand you and you’ll feel super unsupported ‘it just comes with the package’ they say. BUT actually, it doesn’t have to be your narrative as an entrepreneur.

Jem is such a down-to-earth guy and traveling is the biggest passion he has. There are actually way more people in the US who do eCommerce than in Germany and naturally, he now has way more friends in the US than he has in Germany.  The best part about traveling for him is getting to know different cultures, going sightseeing, experiencing the flair of a new country and talking to people. “Surfing and kitesurfing are both a huge passion of mine also. I’m trying to do it at least four times a year!”
