Canadian scientists have expressed that they have found strong strains of cannabis that is effective in preventing and treating coronavirus infections. In a study carried out by researchers from the University of Lethbridge, it is observed that at least 13 cannabis plants with a high presence of CBD can affect the ACE2 pathways to stop the access of viruses into the body.

The finding indicates that hemp extracts with a high content of CBD may block proteins to close the “gateway” for the entry of COVID-19 into the host cells. And the study has highlighted that cannabis could limit the entry of the COVID-19 virus by up to 70-80 percent and it is really a big achievement.
The researchers have expressed that cannabis can help to decrease disease susceptibility and it is useful in treating COVID-19 as an adjunct therapy.
